Ben Ownby, Shawn Hornbeck Both Found Alive!!!
Thank you Lord for finding these boys alive! I can't stop these goosebumps or the tears of both joy and sadness - but mostly joy. I am an advocate of helping to find missing children. And this one hit so close to home. Having children of my own I find it so hard to imagine what these boys went through and the recovery that is yet to come. I can't imagine what their parents have gone through and the process that they will endure for the boys recovery. Yet I'm so elated! They're ALIVE!!!!!
My appreciation goes out to all the eyes and ears in St. Louis and to all the prayers said by so many around the country. From the bottom of my soul, thank you Lord!!!!

It's the small things in life......
Since we've been kind of stuck at home without power for four days now - I've read an entire book, cleaned dishes by HAND, have gone three days (yes, I know - GROSS) without a real shower, and have taken alot of great pictures of the snow and ice that we got on Nov. 30th and Dec. 1st. Here is one of them I wanted to share with all of you.
I took a few pictures of this doe - she was standing in our front yard. Actually made me forget about the stench coming off of my body.
P.S. I actually miss cooking and laundry. :(
Damned Ice
St. Francis doesn't look so happy does he? It's because he's been iced on for the past 6 hours! We have another 12-16 hours left of this stuff and hopefully we can keep our electricity here overnight. I'll get another picture of Francis when we get our snow tomorrow morning.
Typically, I would be really happy about this weather because I haven't seen anything like it in so long. However; I've been without my husband since Monday morning and was anticipating his arrival this evening. Have I said that it's been icing for 6 hours? He's stuck in Minnesota tonight. Leaving me sad and bored for one more night. Just goes to show you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.

Since Mom and Dad take off to Winter Snowbird Land every year, we had Christmas early (really early) this year. The kids were quite pleased with throwing Thanksgiving and Christmas together all in one weekend. And I wanted to blog these pictures of them for future use on how thankful they were for their early Christmas. Somehow for me though, it feels like it's over, Christmas that is. I'll make the best of it as I always do. But to all of you out there getting ready for the hustle and bustle......Merry Christmas to you and make the best of it and always remember that it is the thought that counts.

In the midst of a pretty fair day, I see this.... Britney Files for Divorce. It's about flippin' time!
I mean, she is much younger than me - so there is instant semi-jealousy. Yes, at times she was my inspiration for wanting to take care of my body and at the same time I was hoping that she'd turn into a fat, ugly, smoking cigs, drinking too much hog, and then came Federline. Yuck!! Now I feel somewhat guilty for all those horrible thoughts I had wished upon her. Bad Debi!!
Anyway, all is well that ends well. I just hope she can get back on track with her former career. I also hope that she has half a brain to take care of those babies.

Baseball season is over. Do you know what that means??? That means camping season is over too. We winterized the camper last Sunday and here it is Thursday evening and I have nothing to look forward to. Well, I have a surprise 40th birthday party to attend but that doesn't excite me, it just makes me feel old.
What to do? What to do? I need a winter hobby. Help!!!
